Music

No, I don't make music. But I've long enjoyed making playlists, starting with mixtapes in the 90s using 2 tape decks and a VCR. Some friends have been asking for access to some of my playlists, so I've made some of them public on Spotify, which I am linking to here.

Three sections: Medicinal Mixes, Party Mixes, and Assorted Mixes. Personally, I listen to the Sunset, Groove and Mid Party mixes the most.

Most playlists were transferred from iTunes using an app that sometimes changes a song; if a choice sounds wonky it's probably an error and I'd appreciate hearing about it. To fit your taste better you can copy songs to your own playlists.

Medicinal Mixes

Medicinal Mixes started as relief when not feeling well but fit many occasions, and I'm told nurses quite like them. Laid-back positive vibes. Use as-is or copy into your own. Longer = less carefully curated. Personal favorites: Sunset, Groove

In memory of an old friend, the remarkable Michael Kiernan, who gave me the idea. More info below for hospital use.

For those who are sick/in hospital

Some mixes are long so you can leave them running for many hours without repeats. A bluetooth speaker + the mixes should be doable even in a hospital room (most people like it).

If the free version of Spotify is annoying and you can't afford paid, I might be able to arrange access to a paid account during your illness; just contact me.
